This quote is so true, a reader does live a thousand lives every time they open a book. Just think, if you began reading as a child and you have continued to read throughout your adult life, can you imagine how many books you will have read by the time you die, it will probably be a very impressive number.
Every time you open a book and slip into the storyline, you are embarking on a journey, and by embracing the characters' lives, it's like you are vicariously living in their world too. It doesn't matter what genre is your favorite, every book offers the readers an escape into a different life, one that can be thrilling, romantic, out-of-this world, etc.
The next time you open up a book, think about all the books that you've read and those to come, and be amazed at all the lives you have led, and get excited about all the lives you will lead every time you slip within the pages of a story.
