My Book Review:
Quiet Angel is a wonderful love story about two young teenagers who fall in love one summer, but they are separated by circumstances out of their control, until twelve years later when they are reunited and get a second chance at love.
Author Prescott Lane weaves a beautiful romantic tale that takes the reader on a emotional roller coaster ride as they follow Gage and Layla's love story. Gage and Layla's story is told in two parts: the unforgettable summer they spent on St. Simons Island, and their unexpected reunion twelve years later. Their story tugs at the heartstrings, but will make the reader a believer in second chances and true love.
The story has enough drama, romance, angst, hope, belief in angels and soul mates, difficult personal issues, and lost love found that will easily captivate the reader's attention. You can't help but feel compassion for Gage and Layla as their story unfolds with intriguing twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages, and hoping that they will get their second chance at love. I loved how the author draws the reader into their story with their teenage summer of love on the island, then keeps the reader following their separate adult lives, until their unexpected reunion twelve years later. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the author's thoughtful depiction of Layla's suffering from abuse, it was handled with grace, and made me feel empathy, compassion, and admiration for Layla's strength and ability to survive and overcome the trauma of her past.
Quiet Angel is a beautiful story of second chances, true love, and moving forward from traumatic pasts that will resonate with you for a very long time.

About The Author
Prescott Lane is the author of First Position, Perfectly Broken and her new release, Quiet Angel. She is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from Centenary College with a degree in sociology. She went on to receive her MSW from Tulane University, after which she worked with developmentally delayed and disabled children. She married her college sweetheart, and they currently live in New Orleans with their two children and two crazy dogs. Prescott started writing at the age of five, and sold her first story about a talking turtle to her father for a quarter. She later turned to writing romance novels because there aren't enough happily ever afters in real life.
