Exactly! I have always been a passionate advocate for reading, and this quote hits the mark on the head.
I have always been met with eye rolls when I would ask why people don't choose to pick up a book and give the stories a chance. It doesn't matter what genre is chosen, but books have a way of introducing readers to adventures, life lessons and lifelong learning opportunities. All a person needs to do is look at the book's description and find one that speaks to them. How difficult is it to find the time to put down the cell phone and stop watching reality tv, open a book and open your mind!
Books can provide many things: be an adventure, be a safe place, be an escape from the troubles in our world, be a vehicle that stimulates curiosity, be an enjoyable hobby, be a provider and searcher of truth, and to simply make you smile. With so many genres available to read, I can't imagine that people don't take a moment to see what books may pique their interest.
