Reading a good book is when you open a book and escape into the pages and simply enjoy the story that unfolds. Picking a book whose story calls to you and the enjoyment that you feel as you turn the pages is the true essence of a good book because you are reading it at the right time. As you read the book, if you feel the gamut of emotions or learn something from the story, then that too is the essence of reading a good book at the right time. If you finish reading a book and it leaves you with a smile, a thoughtfulness, or a sense of fulfillment, then that is the essence of a good book. To me, all books are good books, it's just what book's story calls to you that means the most.
