Book Description:

For Jaclyn “Jack” Pace, sensing what sweets people crave is as easy as breathing. But it’s not enough to keep her cupcake bakery in the black.

So, when her estranged sister Harper comes back to town with an affinity for making art out of icing—and a past full of secrets—she reluctantly gives Harper a job and a place to crash.

As their sisterly relationship begins to thaw, the one with her business partner Graham starts to heat up. Given the legend that says Hollingsworth men will recognize their soul mates at first touch, Jack’s always been resigned to the fact that she’s not his.

But when she starts sensing desires that are decidedly not dessert-related, it’ll take all of her magic to set things right with customers and make her own desires come true.

Love and Cupcakes is a delightfully sweet and sensual romance from Susan Bishop Crispell.

My Book Review:

In her debut novel, Love And Cupcakes, author Susan Bishop Crispell weaves a delightful new adult romantic tale with a subtle magical touch that is oh so sugary sweet!

Set in the small town of Sugar, Georgia, the reader follows childhood friends and business partners Jaclyn "Jack" Pace and Graham Hollingsworth as they struggle to make their cupcake shop successful, while their long-held crush on each other finally heats up and grows into something more delicious!

Jack and Graham have had a crush on each other since childhood, but neither has acted upon their feelings. Now as business partners in Crumbs Cupcakery, they are struggling to make their shop a success as well as fanning the desire for each other. But as they work alongside each other their relationship begins to heat up, and their desire can't be denied any longer. Maybe they can have both success and love if they only take a chance!

Love And Cupcakes is a cute story that had a nice mixture of sweet romance, family drama, and a magical gift to sense what others desire and the ability to recognize one's soul mate. It is a fast paced story that alternates between the perspective of Jack and Graham. The reader can't help but get drawn into Jack and Graham's story, it is full of humor, family drama, emotions, and romantic complications, that easily keeps them turning the pages.

With a fun cast of characters; quirky dialogue and interactions; a richly detailed description of the quaint Southern small town of Sugar, Georgia; and a enjoyable storyline that is thoroughly entertaining, Love And Cupcakes is a sugary sweet and delightful romance story that will leave a smile on your face.

Kudos to author Susan Bishop Crispell on her wonderful debut novel! I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

About The Author

Susan Bishop Crispell is not one of those writers who’s been scribbling down stories since she could hold a pencil. She didn’t read constantly growing up (blasphemy!), and she can still be found in public without a book tucked into her purse (again with the blasphemy!).

She is, however, the kind of writer who lives for the imaginative spark that introduces her to a new character or story idea that pushes her to turn everyday life into something magical.

She lives and writes near Wilmington, NC.
