Book Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes Hush, Book 25 of The Seaside Saga.

The whisper of dune grasses. The faint cry of gulls. The hiss of waves. In the New England beach town of Stony Point, there's an undeniable hush. Maybe it's because the summer people have left and many of the coastal cottages are shuttered for the season. Or maybe it's just because one tenacious lobsterman's stay is coming to a close. Regardless, there's a stillness in the salt air. But don't be fooled—all is not at ease.

And The Seaside Saga continues.

My Book Review:

In Hush, the beach friends' story continues where August Dove left off. Author Joanne DeMaio transports the reader back to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut. The story takes place in mid-October, and the readers will catch up with the beach friends' lives.

Hush is an intricate story of interweaving friendships and ever-changing life events. In this twenty-fifth installment in The Seaside Saga Series, the author continues to weave a story that focuses on Celia and Shane. After the unexpected visitor leaves Stony Point, Celia decides to move forward with her life, but with the upcoming departure of Shane back to his job lobstering in Maine, they have to deal with the angsty goodbye that is just days away. With Shane leaving Stony Point, what will become of their relationship?

Meanwhile, the reader catches up with the rest of the beach friends' lives, but for two beach friends, a shocking and unexpected tragedy occurs ... and so The Seaside Saga continues.

I loved how this installment continued to focus on Celia and Shane. I loved how we get to see how Shane and Celia prepare for his departure from Stony Point. You can't help but feel for Shane as he agonizes over what his departure will mean for him and Celia's relationship. The emotional rollercoaster that Shane and Celia endure in the days up to his departure is full of angst, as they question what will become of their relationship. But their angsty drama is nothing compared to the cliffhanger ending. Just when I thought life was going well for all the beach friends, an unexpected event occurs that really shook me up, and I'll admit that it made me cry!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I loved the significance of the completed stairway to the sea, and the emotional and beautiful tribute to Jason's dad that Shane provided with the completed stairway renovation.

The author teases her readers with another cliffhanger ending that is so shocking and devastating that it will leave them stunned! I would get the tissues ready as this is the most unexpected and traumatic cliffhanger ending ever in the series. The reader will have to wait to see what is revealed in The Diner, the twenty-sixth installment of the series ... sigh.

In this installment in the series, the reader follows along with the beach friends' lives that are full of friendship, love, secrets, lies, mistakes, regrets, challenges, heartbreak, grief, surprises, and second chances. As you read this installment, the beach friends continue along in their life journey in Stony Point. I loved that the reader also gets to catch up on the rest of the beach friends' lives, it's always fun to see what they have been up to in their daily lives.

So now that I have whet your interest in the beach friends' latest comings and goings, drive under the railroad trestle and enter the enchanting beach town of Stony Point ... pull up a beach chair ... and visit with the close-knit longtime friends in author Joanne DeMaio's delightful novel, Hush.

The Seaside Saga Series is a heartwarming series of stories of friendship, family, painful secrets, lies, and regrets, new beginnings and second chances. Author Joanne DeMaio weaves a wonderful tale written in the third person narrative, which is set in the present with flashbacks to the past. The reader is transported to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut, where they follow along with Celia, Maris, Eva, Matt, Jason, Kyle, Lauren, Nick, Elsa, Cliff, Mitch, and Shane as their lives change like the tide's ebb and flow on their little tranquil coastal town.

Book Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes August Dove, Book 24 of The Seaside Saga.

Shane Bradford has to make a decision. It won't be easy since there are plenty of consequences either way. He has to gauge the risk, the reward. He also has to act fast—second nature to him as a New England lobsterman. The clock is ticking. Every minute counts. So as the golden beach grasses sway, as Long Island Sound's lazy waves roll in, as the gulls call, as the tides turn, he decides. But at what cost?

And The Seaside Saga continues.

My Book Review:

In August Dove, the beach friends' story continues where The Shack left off. Author Joanne DeMaio transports the reader back to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut. The story takes place in early October, and the readers will catch up with the beach friends' lives.

August Dove is an intricate story of interweaving friendships and ever-changing life events. In this twenty-fourth installment in The Seaside Saga Series, the author continues to weave a story that focuses on Celia and Shane. Upon returning home from the trip to San Francisco, Celia has come to terms with the traumatic reunion with her estranged mom Heather and has put it behind her. But now an unexpected visitor arrives at Stony Point, and Shane is determined to protect Celia at all costs. With drama, secrets, heartache, choices, decisions and regrets, will Shane make the right decision, or will it cost him a chance at losing Celia?

I loved how this installment continued to focus on Celia and Shane. I loved how we get to see how Shane is so protective of Celia, and how he works out the choices and decisions that he makes to ensure that she isn't hurt again. You can't help but feel for Shane as he agonizes over what to do when an unexpected visitor arrives in Stony Point, and the upheaval that this visitor can bring to Celia's life. I struggled over his decision, but I get how he was just trying to protect Celia, and I couldn't help but worry that his decision would cost him when Celia learns what he did. This installment kept me turning the pages, I just had to see how Shane's decision would pan out.

The author teases her readers with another cliffhanger ending that keeps the reader waiting to see what happens in the aftermath of the unexpected visit, and how Celia and Shane deal with his decision. Let's just say the cliffhanger ending left me in shock! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what is revealed in Hush, the twenty-fifth installment of the series ...

Book Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes The Shack, Book 23 of The Seaside Saga.

In a shocking twist, a day goes so wrong and alters the lives of several beach friends in its wake. All that's left is to pick up the pieces. And each individual does in ways unexpected. One sheds tears. Some offer a shoulder, an embrace. One tries to help, only to hit a brick wall. One finds difficult acceptance. Still one harbors deep, stinging regret. Where do they go from here?

And The Seaside Saga continues.

My Book Review:

In The Shack, the beach friends' story continues where Miss Moonchild Starbeam left off. Author Joanne DeMaio transports the reader back to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut. The story takes place in early October, and the readers will catch up with the beach friends' lives.

The Shack is an intricate story of interweaving friendships and ever-changing life events. In this twenty-third installment in The Seaside Saga Series, the author continues to weave a story that focuses on Elsa, Celia, and Shane. On the girl's trip to San Francisco, Elsa reconnected with Wren, her college roommate from their time in San Francisco, while Celia tried to reconnect with her estranged mom, Heather, who owns a jewelry store called August Dove. Celia doesn't tell Elsa about her side plan, but she does tell Shane, and he accompanied Celia and baby Aria, but they have to make sure that they keep their secret relationship from Elsa. While the trip to San Francisco is magical for Elsa as she reconnects with Wren and reminisces about their college days, Celia's plans to reconnect with her estranged mom doesn't go as well, and neither does keeping her and Shane's relationship a secret. Now on the way home, all three are plagued by the "what ifs" when it comes to their actions/inactions during the trip. With drama, secrets, heartache, choices, decisions and regrets, can Elsa, Celia and Shane pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward?

I loved how this installment focused on Elsa, Celia, and Shane. I loved how Elsa reconnected with her college roommate Wren, and how she got the nickname, Miss Moonchild Starbeam. For Elsa, the trip was very much needed after a difficult year, and it was wonderful to follow along as she enjoyed spending time with Wren. But there is one thing that Elsa didn't expect, she is surprised when she sees Celia upset and in Shane's arms on the street, and she goes home worried about what happened between Celia and Shane.

For Celia, her plan to try and reconnect with her estranged mom didn't go as well. Shane had a bad feeling it wouldn't go well, and he tried to talk Celia out of visiting her mom, but she was adamant, so Shane was determined to protect her at all costs. You can't help but feel the full gamut of emotions as Celia struggled with her decision to visit with her mom, it will pull at your heartstrings. You just know that it wasn't easy for Celia to relive the past hurt that her mom caused her family, it is the most heart wrenching decision that had my eyes tearing up when she tells Shane what happened in the past. With a lot of emotions, Celia and Shane are plagued by their decisions during the visit to her mom's shop, and it remains with them as they travel home.

The author teases her readers with another cliffhanger ending that keeps the reader waiting to see what happens in the aftermath of the San Francisco trip, and how Elsa, Celia and Shane deal with their issues. Let's just say the cliffhanger ending left me in shock! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what is revealed in August Dove, the twenty-fourth installment of the series ... sigh.

As you read this installment, the beach friends continue along in their life journey in Stony Point. I loved that Maris and Jason are finally in a good place in their marriage, it was nice to see that after so much of the story was filled with emotional turmoil.

So now that I have whet your interest in the beach friends' latest comings and goings, drive under the railroad trestle and enter the enchanting beach town of Stony Point ... pull up a beach chair ... and visit with the close-knit longtime friends in author Joanne DeMaio's delightful novel, The Shack.

Book Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes Miss Moonchild Starbeam, Book 22 of The Seaside Saga

As turmoil swirls for some in the emotional waters of Stony Point, others take to the skies. Elsa DeLuca, once known as Miss Moonchild Starbeam, is reuniting with a dear friend on a special California trip. But while Elsa has flowers in her hair, her travel companion Celia has an aching in her heart. Which is why Shane's secretly come along, too. Can the getaway offer hope and healing? Still, as the wind cries off the beautiful Bay, it whispers sadness.

And The Seaside Saga continues.

My Book Review:

In Miss Moonchild Starbeam, the beach friends' story continues where The Mistake left off. Author Joanne DeMaio transports the reader back to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut. The story takes place in early October, and the readers will catch up with the beach friends' lives.

Miss Moonchild Starbeam is an intricate story of interweaving friendships and ever-changing life events. In this twenty-second installment in The Seaside Saga Series, the author weaves a story that focuses on Elsa, Celia, and Shane. Elsa reconnects with Wren, her college roommate from their time in San Francisco, and after reminiscing about that time in her life as Miss Moonchild Starbeam, she decides to visit Wren, and bring Celia and baby Aria with her on a girl's trip. It's the perfect opportunity for Celia to look up her estranged mom, Heather, who owns a jewelry store called August Dove, and try to reconnect with her. Celia doesn't tell Elsa about her side plan, but she does tell Shane, who is in a secret relationship with Celia, and he wants to accompany them, but they have to make sure that they keep their secret relationship from Elsa. While the trip to San Francisco is magical for Elsa as she reconnects with Wren and reminisces about their college days, Celia's plans to reconnect with her estranged mom doesn't go as well, and neither does keeping her and Shane's relationship a secret.

I loved how this installment focused on Elsa, Celia, and Shane. It's about time that the readers got to follow Elsa's story! I loved how Elsa reconnected with her college roommate Wren, and how she got the nickname, Miss Moonchild Starbeam. For Elsa, the trip was very much needed after a difficult year, and it was wonderful to follow along as she enjoyed spending time with Wren.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what is revealed in The Shack, the twenty-third installment of the series ... sigh.

Book Description:

From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes The Mistake, Book 21 of The Seaside Saga

Mistakes. Everyone in the New England beach town of Stony Point has made one. Some mistakes are as big as the blue depths of Long Island Sound. Others, as small as a speck of sand. Some mistakes make their presence known, like the call of the gulls feeding on the bluff. Then there are the mistakes that whisper like the slightly swaying marsh grasses. More than anyone, Jason Barlow is ready to admit his mistake. But is it too late?

And The Seaside Saga continues.

My Book Review:

In The Mistake, the beach friends' story continues where The Liars left off. Author Joanne DeMaio transports the reader back to the tranquil seashore town of Stony Point, Connecticut. The story takes place in early October, where our beach friends' lives are like the tides, sometimes they keep moving and changing, but they will always have the support of their friends and family.

In The Mistake, Author Joanne DeMaio easily captivates her readers' attention with this beautifully written tale through a seamless and flowing storyline, and with a wonderful description of a tranquil beach setting that wraps itself around the reader like a sun-warmed beach towel. The characters draw you into their lives with a strong emotional pull, their complexities and flaws are true-to-life, it is easy to relate to them with compassion, empathy, and hope.

The Mistake is an intricate story of interweaving friendships and ever-changing life events. It is a wonderful story that continues to demonstrate the power of the magical sweet salt air that will cure what ails you. In this twenty-first installment in The Seaside Saga Series, the author weaves a story that focuses on Jason, and a secret about his past that he did not share with Maris. When he runs into a person from his past unexpectedly, it really threw him for a loop, and it brought back the painful memories of a difficult time in his life.  Jason didn't keep this secret to deceive Maris, but he knows that he made a mistake, and it is now time to reveal the truth about his past. After a difficult summer between Jason and Maris and their promise of no more secrets, will the secret Jason revealed be a mistake, and cause their marriage to take a step backwards?

I loved how this installment focused on Jason, and how he dealt with the unexpected visitor from his past, and how he decided to share this traumatic secret with Maris. You can't help but feel the full gamut of emotions as Jason has an internal struggle in his decision to relive a traumatic time in his life, and share it with Maris, it will pull at your heartstrings. You just know that this isn't going to be easy for Jason to relive, or for Maris to absorb, it is the most heart wrenching conversation that had my eyes tearing up as he tells her what happened in the past. The author teases her readers with another cliffhanger ending that keeps the reader waiting to see what effect Jason's revelation will have on his and Maris' marriage. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what is revealed in Miss Moonchild Starbeam, the twenty-second installment of the series ... sigh. Here's a sneak peak, the next book focuses on Elsa's story (Miss Moonchild Starbeam), as well as continuing to share the latest in the beach friends' lives.

In this installment in the series, the reader follows along with the beach friends' lives that are full of friendship, love, secrets, lies, mistakes, regrets, challenges, heartbreak, grief, surprises, and second chances. As you read this installment, the beach friends continue along in their life journey in Stony Point.

So now that I have whet your interest in the beach friends' latest comings and goings, drive under the railroad trestle and enter the enchanting beach town of Stony Point ... pull up a beach chair ... and visit with the close-knit longtime friends in author Joanne DeMaio's delightful novel, The Mistake.
