Books are food for my soul! Pull up a beach chair and stick your toes in the sand as the Jersey surf rolls in and out, now open your book and let your imagination take you away.

25th Anniversary of 9/11

As we remember the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks in NYC; Shanksville, PA; and The Pentagon, take a moment to say a prayer for the people who were lost, their families, the heroes, and for our country, it is a day that WE WILL NEVER FORGET

I will never forget that day ... I just pulled into the parking lot of the nursing home that I ran in Atlantic City (NJ licensed nursing home administrator), when my staff started running out the door to my car in a panic. I was like OMG what is going on within the nursing home, but when they pulled me into a dining room and showed me the news coverage of the attack, I was simply stunned and understood my staffs' panic. That day was filled with trying to keep everyone calm while trying to keep in contact with my corporate office in North Jersey. It was such a traumatizing day that our country experienced, but you know what came out of it ... the American people came together and bonded as one nation determined to Never Forget, and President Bush promised that our country would get justice, and we did! 25 years later, we still commemorate 9/11 every year, but somewhere along the way I think that we have forgotten that national bond that our country had back then, I wish we could find that sense of bond today.
