Today's Book Wisdom Quote
Today's Wisdom quote really resonates with how I feel about reading throughout my life journey. I completely agree that children should be encouraged to embrace books and the amazing journeys that reading will take them on.
As I have grown older, I have become dismayed that books are still seen as something children have to endure while in school. I am glad that my parents encouraged and taught me to embrace books and how reading could enhance my life.
It really is a shame that sometimes my passion is met with rolled eyes or "oh reading is sooooo boring." Of course, not everyone will become a reader, but for Pete's sake give it a chance, you may even surprise yourself.
So, the wisdom that I leave with you today is this, give the children of our world a chance to find out that books are more than a drudgery that they have to endure in school, teach them early that books can be so much more ... sigh 😔📖
