I also now have access to more books that aren't available in print. In less than 2 months, I have over 400 books on my Nook and I have no clue how many print books I have, I'd have to count them. I can't afford to buy all the books I would like to read as paperbacks so ebook it is, but if it's a book that I loved, that I could read over and over again, then I must have it on paperback. I love being able to choose a book to read at my fingertips, I take my Kindle 3G w/wi-fi or my Kindle Fire everywhere I go. :)Kathleen Higgins-Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17118236850527205593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3655053213436215112.post-79579155379952597662012-03-18T14:57:50.982-04:002012-03-18T14:57:50.982-04:00Back in 2011 I switched to only e-books because be...Back in 2011 I switched to only e-books because being a college student I didn't need all the extra books to lug around. Now that I started blogging and reviewing books, I've started buying hard copies again. I still get my nookbooks, but I forgot how much I missed the spell of books.

Doodle @ Doodle's Book BlogDoodlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13489120038909155231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3655053213436215112.post-9605719168604680462012-03-18T14:42:19.620-04:002012-03-18T14:42:19.620-04:00As of today it's 1375. Great idea.

It's wonderful that you support your local used bookstore, and you're right; it makes buying books much more affordable. I didn't realize just how many books you had, though, until I took a look at your blog and caught your pictures of your book storage. It's amazing how many print books you have! It's at 1100, right?S. M. I...I've been waiting for this stop on the tour. I'm on the fence, and I think I'll be on the fence forever, about this topic.

I've been buying print books for years and only recently (since December, when I got my ereader) have entered the world of ebooks. Since then, I have still continued to purchase both formats. It allows me to afford great new books like Lichgates.

The pricing makes it possible to get between 5-10 ebooks for the price of ONE brand new book at a store. For me though, I almost always buy from my local used bookstore. So cost wasn't an option. Most books at no more than 5 bucks (hardcover.)

I'm awaiting the day they put the smell of paper (especially the old book smell) into an ereader. I will miss that and the feel of the paper. That might be the day I jump over the fence completely to the ebook side.

(A temporary remedy to this: I made a case for my ereader out of a book, like a hollow book. It feels much like reading a real book, more than I thought it would.)Robert Zimmermannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04963505962471384077noreply@blogger.com
