Book Description:

From the bestselling author of Here, Home, Hope, comes a novel of suspense and choices, with a nod to the best of Susan Isaac's tales of suburban murder. Once again, everything isn't what it seems in the suburb of Grandville. All The Difference is the story of three Grandville women whose lives become entangled by the choices they make and how, ultimately, one of them turns to murder to achieve her goals. Roommates Laura and Angie couldn't be more different. Laura is a local celebrity, the television anchor who is motivated to move out of small-time media markets and on to the big time, no matter the cost. Meanwhile, Angie, a luckless waitress, spends her time waiting for Mr. Right to save her from temporary jobs and a life spent making bad choices. On the other side of town, Ellen abandons her life as a successful fundraiser for that of an isolated housewife in the country estate she shares with her husband, whose affairs become increasingly hard to ignore. When the city's gossip columnist, Maddie, and restaurant reviewer, Dixon, become involved in the story, the unlikely duo stir up more than they intended. With her signature mix of compassion and wit, Kaira Rouda once again takes readers on an entertaining journey into the heart of women's lives in suburbia, this time with a dose of suspense.

My Book Review:

Three different women, three different choices in lifestyles, one murderer ... the men of Grandville aren't safe from one of these women.

Kaira Rouda takes the readers for a suspenseful thrill ride with her second novel, All The Difference. The story is about three very different types of women: the mother figure, the power figure and the hooker. The author weaves a story that reads like a modern day Peyton Place. The intriguing storyline is filled with enough suspense that keeps the reader captivated and guessing what will happen next, and who the killer is right up to the very end. With intertwining subplots of deception, adultery, betrayal, jealousy, scandal, heartache and murder; it is a fascinating look at how devious a person can really be. The chapters alternate between the present time with flashbacks of a haunting childhood of one of the women, but the reader is kept guessing which woman had such a horrifying childhood until the end of the story. There were so many characters in this story that I had to write them down to keep them straight, but the author does a brilliant job of intertwining all of their lives, and all of the pieces of the puzzle come together in a very thrilling, suspenseful and surprising ending.

All The Difference is an entertaining suspense thriller that keeps the reader holding their breath from beginning to end. This second novel is a departure from the author's first novel, Here, Home, Hope, but she has provided her fans with an exciting new twist to her writing style. For fans of women's fiction and chick lit genres, this isn't your classic romance novel, it is a romantic suspense thriller that you should definitely put on your reading list!
