About The Author:

After graduating in Journalism in 2001, Judah Lee Davis has furthered her career as a corporate writer for the past decade. As a result of her training in media, her non-traditional writing style is simple, easy-to-read, and accessible to adult readers at all education levels.

Her debut novel, She Tells All, is written from the hilarious collage of ideas that could only come from living in a small town. From strong Pentecostal undertones to vulgarity of the crudest nature, Davis contrasts the war between good and evil as she chronicles the struggles of a promiscuous girl looking for love, (or something similar) in a sleepy southern town.

Her sequel, Every Woman's Hero keeps the funny coming with even more laughter, more fun, and an even bigger dose of can't-put-it-down humor.

While Davis is hoping to make waves in the world of fiction with her sexy, hilarious series, she currently enjoys lavishing her two kittens with an unreasonable amount of affection, spending time with her family, and keeping up with her day job.

From The Author:

At 21, I thought I had it all figured out. Despite my love for writing, I chose a field that was more lucrative, and I was poised to apply for medical school that fall. I had a serious boyfriend, and I could easily wear my size seven CK jeans.

Two months later, my boyfriend dumped me and I gained fifteen pounds worth of jelly roll that poured out over the button of my once-so-friendly jeans. Throwing my hands up in the air, I canceled my plans for graduation, took a good long look at the jelly roll in the mirror, and began to notice some important truths about myself.

I realized that deep down inside, I had strong desire to tip the couch over in search of change for the rest of my life. I wanted to live off of Ramen noodles and take toilet paper from the gas station. I wanted to be that person who came back for a free refill six hours later, but yet wrote stories for a living and could maybe even be considered happy. So I became an author.

Book Description:

After finding a pair of magic stilettos that transform her into the ultimate hot goddess, Madison Miller is certain she will get lucky tonight. But in her quest to find the ultimate hottie, she finds something so unexpected.

Now, as she takes a good, hard look at her life, she relives the past that transformed her into a vainglory vixen and realizes an important lesson about why she should NEVER sleep with strangers.

My Book Review:

Madison Miller is a girl who has been looking for love in all the wrong places with all the wrong kind of men. From her teen years until the age of thirty, this Alabama girl has lived by the timeless credo of party hardy: sex, drugs and alcohol. From one night stands to brief relationships with all types of men, to getting high and drunk on a daily basis, Madison never could seem to find what she was really looking for: happiness and love. It took a saint of a very good friend to show her the way ... this is Madison's journey of self-discovery and redemption, because "Sometimes to get to heaven, you gotta go through Hell!"

She Tells All is a racy novel about a girl whose life has been one party and sex partner after another. It is a story that will make you laugh, cringe and even cry. The storyline is intriguing, it definitely is not the usual chick lit type of novel, it is a racy story with a lot of explicit language and raunchy sex scenes, but the reader can't help be entertained when reading about Madison's crazy escapades. Even with all the craziness, there is an underlying message that this story tries to tell it's readers, the importance of living life and self-discovery through making choices and bad mistakes, finding faith and redemption. Madison's story starts out with the present time, then takes you back to her teenage years and moves forward to the present time again. Along the way the reader gets to meet a cast of crazy but funny characters, whose interactions with Madison add to the story's entertainment factor. While I found Madison's character intriguing, I couldn't help but cringe at a lot of her antics, it kind of bordered on the extreme to me, and I just wanted to smack her and tell her to grow the hell up and straighten up. The character I loved and related to the most was Dion, the sweet, Christian, warm-hearted co-worker/friend who loved Madison for who she was, and who tried to show her how to go down the right path in life. There are a lot of hilarious portions of the story, Madison sure knows how to live life to it's fullest, and her antics will keep the reader in stitches. There are also some emotional scenes that will tug at your emotions, these portions create a nice balance for an otherwise very risque story.

Overall, I enjoyed reading She Tells All, but the book description doesn't do the story any justice, as it describes only a very small part of the story. That being said, this novel has a lot of entertainment value as well as providing a message to the reader. If you are a Chick Lit fan that wants to read a story that is anything but the typical Chick Lit story, then this one is for you!

  3. Kathleen, writing a book is like having a baby. When someone likes it, it's like they're telling you that your baby is adorable! It feels so good on the inside. Thank you so much for supporting me by getting the other two parts of the trilogy. Keep in mind that when I finished the third book, I had to go back and change the ending of the first one so that everything matched, meaning I had to change the way a certain character died. So, just know that if a couple things don't quite line up, that's why. I hope that you will still enjoy reading them and will continue to snicker!

  4. Thanks again, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts! Though many things have been changed, this entire series is based on a true story, and writing the Diary of Dion is the hardest thing I have EVER, EVER written. I kept crying into the keyboard. It may not have this effect on others, since they didn't know her personally, but I hope that it will crown with glory a controversial series about a saint and a whore, who change each others lives forever. Thanks again Jersey Girl for everything.
