More than a decade ago, Melinda Leigh left a career in banking to raise her children and never looked back. Her paranormal romance and romantic suspense fiction has won writing awards across the country, including The Gateway to the Best Contest, The Marlene Award, Where the Magic Begins, Put Your Heart in a Book, and The Golden Gateway 1st Round Grand Prize.

Melinda is also an avid martial artist. She holds a 2nd degree belt in Kenpo Karate, studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and teaches women's self-defense. She lives in the New Jersey suburbs in a delightfully messy house with her husband, two teenagers, a couple of dogs and one neurotic cat with an inexplicable fear of ceiling fans. Elizabeth was a young widow with two small children when she met Congressman Richard Baker. She Can Run is a fast-paced, riveting romantic thriller that is filled with so many suspenseful twists and turns, it will keep the reader sitting on the edge of their seats. This debut novel by author Melinda Leigh is very well written, and the storyline has an intriguing multi-layer of suspense and romance that kept me turning the pages. I really enjoyed the multiple storylines, there was plenty of intrigue and action, while the romance portion added a nice balancing act. The characters were very well developed, I loved how the author intertwined their relationships within the storyline, especially the relationship between Beth and Jack.

If you are a fan of romantic suspense thrillers, this novel is right up your alley, the riveting intrigue of the storyline will not disappoint you.
